High-security chat and standard-security chat

There are two chat options in Panfu. The high-security chat setting and a standard-security chat setting.

If you want to send pre-set messages, click on the balloon icon on the far left of the toolbar. Here you will find a selection of sentences to send.

If your account is set on standard security, then you can click in the box on the toolbar and type in a separate message. To send the message, press “Enter” or click the “Send” button. The messages will be filtered to ensure that they abide by the Panfu rules. It may also be that what you have written will not be seen by others.
There are two different ways for pandas to read messages. Either you read the message balloons over the heads of the pandas or you use the window at the top of the screen. In this window, you can see all conversations at once. Click on the button at the top of the window.

If your panda has no text box in which you can write in, then you are set to high-security chat.

If your chat is set to high security, then you can not write your own messages. However, you can use the menu on the toolbar to the left which contains smileys, actions, and also postcards you can send.

NOTE: if your chat is set to high security, you can only see news, smileys, actions and postcards which were also sent by other pandas in your security level. Your security settings can easily be changed.

Change the security settings

If you would like to change your security settings, sign in and click on the “Settings” button on the toolbar.

At the very bottom, it will read “High-security chat” or “Standard-security chat”. Click on the box next to the security setting which you prefer.

If you were given a parental password when you signed up for Panfu, then you will need this password to change the setting.

Your new settings will go into effect the next time you sign in.

If you are in the high-security chat mode, then you can only see news, actions, smileys, and postcards, which were sent from the same security setting.
