How can I talk with other pandas?

You can communicate with other pandas by chatting, using smileys, or performing various actions.

When your account is set to the standard default chat settings as active, you can chat by pressing the 'Enter' button or by clicking “Send”.

If your panda has no text box, then your account is set to high-level security.

If high-level security is set, then you can not write your own messages.

You can only communicate via the menu with smileys, actions, or postcards. You can easily customise the security level of your chat.

How can I send a postcard?

If you would like to send another panda a postcard, you must first open their player card.

If they are in the same room as you, simply click on the panda.

You can also click on your friend list and then on your friends' name.

This will open the player card of your friend, from which you can click on the envelope icon and send a card. Then open the postcard catalogue. Choose a card which you would like to send and click “yes” to send the card.

What happens if I do not follow the rules?

If you use profanity, tell hurtful lies, or say something that is against the rules, you will be banned from Panfu. This means that you will not be able to use your account for a certain amount of time - this can be anywhere between 24 hours and forever.

You may also be locked out of the chatting function. If your chat is locked, that means that for a certain period you may only used the pre-set text and not write your owntext.

If you are banned as a member, you will NOT be compensated for the time you were banned.

A ban may be issued automatically, in which case it will take effect immediately. It can also be set in motion by a monitor, in which case it may take a little more time to take effect.

How is a panda blocked or banned?

A panda will be blocked or banned either automatically by our system or by a chat monitor.

An automatic blocking of the chat function or, in serious case, a ban from Panfu will take place if a panda has said one of the filtered inappropriate words.

A monitor will announce a ban if:

• A player complains about another player to a monitor
• A recording of all the conversations in a room will be sent to a monitor, including the filtered messages.
• The monitor controls the conversation.
• A Panfu monitor moderates inappropriate language or bad behaviour. An offending panda will either be given limited chatting access or in a serious case, be banned from Panfu for a reasonable period of time.
• Four or more offences can lead to a permanent ban.

How can I express feelings?

You can express your emotions by using smileys. Smileys are small icons which show simple thoughts or feelings. Your smiley button is on the bottom left side of the tool-bar.

What kind of actions can my panda do?

Your panda can perform different actions: waving, dancing, sitting and throwing a water balloon. If you want to do any of these actions, click on the stock symbol (the panda waving on the left side of the menu functions). Then click on the action that you want to do (waving, dancing, sitting and throwing a water balloon).

If you want to be sitting, click on the sitting icon function.

Your panda can also throw water balloons at other pandas.

If you want to throw a water balloon, simply click on the water bomb icon (on the right in the toolbar) and then click on a target - watch your water bomb splash!
